METHODOLOGY
How we score
Our total score is out of 100 across six axes. For each genre we measure the top five courses and publish only those scoring 70 or above (courses below 70 are measured but not listed). When an axis cannot be measured, the total is scaled from measured axes only, and we say so. Some figures are estimates from public information; the measurement date is always shown. Scores support your decision — they guarantee nothing.
Measured: 2026-07-04| Freshness (20) | Decays with months since the last content refresh (zero at 36 months); a bonus for courses refreshed twice within 24 months. |
|---|---|
| Trust (25) | A Bayesian weighted average of rating × review volume, so a 4.9 with few reviews doesn't outrank a 4.7 with thousands. Recent rating declines are penalized. |
| Value (15) | An assumed sale price divided by total video hours, ranked within the category — effectively how much learning time you get for the money. |
| Accessibility (15) | Subtitle-language breadth of the course — how many learners it's usable by, scored from the caption languages we observe on the course page. |
| Curriculum (15) | Total hours, structure, and hands-on exercises. |
| Momentum (10) | Monthly learner-growth rate (normalized by the measurement interval), from our own snapshots; N/A on a program's first appearance. |
